Operations Shift Manager
GRADE/RATE: SALARIED (£45,000 TO £50,000 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)
HOURS: ROTATING SHIFTS – MON TO FRI (06:00AM TO 14:00PM & 14.00PM TO 22:00PM)

As Shift Manager you will lead and drive performance and have the ability to identify and implement key improvements while ensuring consistency of approach across all shifts. You will champion operational standards at shift level and promote team development to achieve goals and KPIs.
KEY TASKS & DUTIES:
Management of the zone management team including recruitment, training & development, performance reviews, absence management etc.
Work with the CI Team to strive for improvements in resources available.
Analyse output of the root cause analysis reports from each zone identifying any trends that occur and initiate remedial action.
Ensure effective communication channels are adopted and adhered to throughout the zones.
PERSONAL QUALITIES & EXPERIENCE:
The successful applicant will hold a relevant management qualification, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in people management. You must be computer literate with an excellent working knowledge of MS Excel. Experience in change control is essential along with good communication skills with the ability to relay information at a level relevant to the audience. You will ideally come from an FMCG background or have a strong understanding of the industry.
Experience of working in a unionised environment and lean manufacturing environment are desirable.
You will demonstrate flexibility in your approach with an anxiety to complete assignments on time. You will ensure timely decision making under complex and demanding circumstances and be pro-active and a creative problem-solver.
